From the beginning or how it all began
Present-day managing director Kai Hannemann (44) already wrotes his first programs for the travel industry in 1987. After studying Computer Science and starting their first jobs as programmers, the long-time friends from Bremen’s Vegesack district, together with a local travel agency, developed a price-comparison program for charter flights. Quickly, it became clear that this work was enjoyable and that there was a larger clientele potential for this program. Therefore in 1989, they founded the current company, whose present headquarters is still in Bremen’s Vegesack.
Step by Step – a Success Story
Over the course of the following years, Partners-Solutions continuously developed into one of the largest suppliers of travel-industry software in Germany. Already in 1990 and 1991, a back-office system was expanded via interfaces to the computer reservation systems: GALILEO, SABRE and WORLDSPAN. In 1994, the interface to START AMADEUS (today AMADEUS Germany) followed.
The Partners-Solutions Company developed dynamically since its founding: This is also evident via the growth in the number of employees. Our team is young. Nonetheless, our employees together possess year-long experience in realising IT modules for the travel industry. Numerous employees come from travel agencies and tour operators. Simultaneously, our IT specialists and project managers possess additional travel-industry cross-training such as IATA certificates.
Everything Considered – Our Product Palette
Partners-Solutions has since its founding exclusively specialised in the travel industry sector: Standardised mid- and back-office systems’ development and sales based on Windows such as PART.ONE, an extensive modular program for consolidators, development of both customer and user-specific solutions for travel agencies and travel agency chains.
In the year 2003, our newest product’s development within our Flight Business Division began due to the market entry of low-cost carriers. The result was LOW.FARE; our product with today more than 100 airlines within the low-cost carrier sector was introduced.
Both online and offline interfaces for data transfer with computer reservation systems as well as data-processing centre services complement Partners-Solutions’s service offering.
Our products’ daily implementation in many offices proves that our solutions have well established themselves in their practical applications. Large companies such as American Express, Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) or Lufthansa City Center, however, also numerous midsized companies utilize our modules.
Additional markets include Great Britain, Ireland, Scandinavia, Benelux as well as Switzerland and Austria. Partners-Solutions follows a successful and secure expansion strategy, for which the foundation had already been laid in previous years.
