Business continues as usual in Bremen

New company “Partners-Solutions” to take over staff

Bremen, 30th of March 2011 – Partners Software has found a new investor. Approximately five weeks after filing for insolvency the well-known IT company “Bewotec” has made a written purchase proposal to the temporary administrator. Bewotec aims to invest into a new company, Partners-Solutions GmbH. At least 80% of staff are to be taken over. Business operations continue unaffected since the filing for insolvency on 22nd February 2011. The acquisition by Bewotec means a new future for Partners.

 

The company Bewotec Softwareentwicklungs- und Vertriebs GmbH, located in Rösrath near Cologne, Germany, has presented the temporary administrator Bora Alexander Haslinger of chancellery Haslinger Korrell of Bremen a written proposal to acquire the insolvency estate of the Bremen IT-company Partners Software. Bewotec is a financially solid and debt-free company with a capital stock of 100.000 Euros and can facilitate the investment with its own means. Due to retained earnings the company has capital resources of 1,6 million Euros as per balance sheet key date 31st December 2010.

 

It is planned that Bewotec GmbH, represented by managing directors and shareholders Michael Becher and Bernhard Koller, place into the new company the office lease, licenses, contracts and products. Approximately 80% of Partners Software staff should also be taken over into the new company called Partners-Solutions. Kai Hannemann is expected to become managing director of Partners-Solutions. The new company aims to continue the existing product lines like Low.Fare and Tourport and will continue the development of existing projects. The investors are planning a new strategy for Tourport.

 

For Bewotec, Partners-Solutions is a promising enhancement of the product portfolio. Today Bewotec covers the complete IT chain from travel agencies to tour operators. The Partners-Solutions products complete the value creation chain with flight solutions for tour operator software.

 

“Tour operators need a flight solution for dynamic packaging nowadays. With Low.Fare and the flight expertise of Partners the Bewotec system DaVinci is very well positioned, and the hub-player-technology equips the system for dynamic packaging” explains Bewotec managing director Michael Becher the investment of his company. With this investment in Partners Bewotec can create flight content for its player technology. Tour operator customers of Bewotec include amongst others Kuoni, TUI Cruises, Aldiana, Hapag-Lloyd cruises and Nicko Tours. Bewotec has around 6.300 travel agencies as active users of the Jack system around Europe. Bewotec was founded in 1988 and is recognised as one of the leading IT companies in the European travel industry. With this, Partners gains an investor with extensive travel industry and IT know how. “We are very happy over this prospect of growing our business with the new investor and being able to secure as many jobs as possible” explains Partners-MD Kai Hannemann.
